Range Rules 2024



The purpose of the range safety rules is obvious, we MUST be certain that we have done all that is possible to ensure the safety of our members, guests, employees, and our property. If any rule appears unclear, or if you are not certain of the safety of something you wish to do, please contact the Range Safety Officer at (217) 900-0477.


Various shooting matches and events are held at the range. These matches and events are scheduled in advance and as such have identified portions of the range that will be occupied or used. These portions of the range are then assumed to be closed to any other activities or use by others for the time designated for the match or event. Any use of those portions of the range during such match or event is only allowed if permission is granted by management or person in charge of the event.

In addition, no shooting is allowed during these matches on any range that is adjacent to the range being used unless such use is given permission by the management.

The above being stated, it is imperative that our range try to accommodate the safe and courteous use of the range by as many members as possible. It is also imperative that individuals and groups communicate with each other in a courteous and kind manner. If it is possible to accommodate other member users during an event or match without safety issues or other complications, such use should be allowed.
